LIV Golf Stars Headline International Series India at DLF Golf and Country Club

The International Series India presented by DLF, set to take place from 30 January to 2 February at DLF Golf and Country Club in Gurugram, promises to be a landmark event for golf in the Indian subcontinent. Boasting the strongest field ever assembled in the region, the tournament will feature 15 LIV Golf League stars and nine winners from the Asian Tour’s 2024 season. Headlining the event is reigning U.S. Open champion Bryson DeChambeau, joined by Crushers GC teammates Paul Casey and Anirban Lahiri, as well as LIV Golf standouts like Joaquin Niemann, Abraham Ancer, and Carlos Ortiz.

The field also includes International Series 2023 Rankings champion Andy Ogletree, Asian Tour Order of Merit winner John Catlin, and rising stars like Luis Masaveu and Frederik Kjettrup, who will use the event as a tune-up for their LIV Golf debuts. A strong Asian Tour contingent, featuring two-time 2024 winners Suteepat Prateeptienchai and Peter Uihlein, adds further depth to the competition.

Notably, Hong Kong’s rising stars Taichi Kho and Matthew Cheung will add an exciting international dimension to the event. Kho, who narrowly missed out on victory at the 2024 LIV Golf Promotions, finishing just a couple of shots behind Max Lee, will bring his hard-earned LIV Golf Card and growing reputation to the field. Meanwhile, Cheung, renowned for his steady and consistent performances, will aim to showcase his skills against a world-class lineup. Both players will be eager to make their mark and prove their mettle on this prestigious stage.

Indian golf legend Anirban Lahiri, a seven-time Asian Tour winner, believes this event will be the biggest in India’s golfing history. He emphasizes the deep connection between Indian golf and the Asian Tour, which has nurtured many of the country’s golfing greats. Lahiri hopes the tournament becomes an annual fixture, celebrating India’s growing prominence in world golf.

With its blend of superstar names, proven champions, and emerging talent, the International Series India marks a significant milestone for golf in the region, offering fans a unique opportunity to witness world-class competition while showcasing India’s rising stature in the sport.
