Where to play in Hong Kong during typhoon season

Hong Kong is a city that is no stranger to typhoons, with the annual typhoon season typically lasting from May to October. During these months, outdoor activities like playing golf can be disrupted by heavy rain and strong winds. However, golf enthusiasts need not let the weather ruin their plans. Indoor golf simulators and driving ranges offer a solution, allowing golfers to continue practicing or playing in a controlled environment regardless of the weather outside. In this article, we will explore some of the indoor golfing options available in Hong Kong and how they provide a convenient and enjoyable alternative during typhoon signals.

Golf Sim HK (Wong Chuk Hang)

A private simulator 2 mins from Wong Chuk Hang MTR station they are open in all typhoon signals.

Delaneys Golf Lounge (Cyberport)

Located in the Cyberport mall and above the Delanyes pub is the golf lounge. It is open during T8.

Golfzon (Lai Chi Kok/Causeway Bay/Admiralty)

Having three venues across Hong Kong, Golfzon is popular with golfers. You will be happy to know they only close during T8 or stronger.

7 Iron (Tai Koo/Wong Chuk Hang)

7 Iron have two venues, Wong Chuk Hang and Tai Koo. Both of these will be open during T3.

The Golf Bay (Discovery Bay)

Located in DB, The Golf Bay will be open during T3 and closed thereafter.

PGA Development Waterfall (Olympic)

As they have outdoor bays, PGA Development Waterfall is open during T1 and closed if the signals are increased to T3 or above.

Kau Sai Chau

KSC closes all golf facilities for T3 or above. You can still use the facilities and play the course during T1 (unless inclement weather - then they will close the course).
