The Six Golf Courses of Hong Kong

Playing golf in Hong Kong can have its challenges but we have listed all the golf courses HK has to offer, to make your life a little easier.

Kau Sai Chau, Sai Kung

Nestled in the Breathtaking Sai Kung Peninsula, this exclusive golf destination boasts three remarkable courses: the East Course (18 holes), the North Course (18 holes), and the South Course (18 holes), the latter both masterfully designed by renowned golf architect Gary Player. However, securing a tee time at this coveted spot can be quite the challenge, given its popularity.

Fortunately, a recent update to their booking system has made the process somewhat more accessible, although demand remains high. Additionally, for those seeking a shorter golfing experience, it's now possible to reserve 9 holes on the picturesque South Course, with tee-off times available between (roughly) 2:30-4:30 pm.

Each course offers a unique experience: the North Course encourages walking, the South Course provides the option to either walk or utilise a golf cart, while the East Course mandates the use of a golf cart (requiring either a Hong Kong or International driver's license).

To secure your spot, mark your calendar: the booking system opens precisely 7 days prior at 9:30 am, so be prepared to act swiftly.

Facilties:

3 x 18 Hole Course, Driving Range, Pro Shop, Dining, Golf Tuition, Repair Workshop

It's worth noting that playing at KSC requires a handicap, unless you play the South Course*. Not to worry, though, as they offer a specialised course called "My First Handicap." For $5400, you'll receive six rounds of 9 holes, accompanied by a professional guide on the North Course. Completing this course will grant you a USGA-approved handicap through the HKGA, opening doors to even more golfing opportunities.

*For qualified handicap players, there's an added perk: you can invite friends without a handicap index to join you on the South Course after 9:00 am on weekdays (excluding public holidays).
