Scottie Scheffler posts a 135 and marks his second-lowest 36-hole total in a major. It’s his third lead after any round of a major; he led after the second and third rounds of the 2022 Masters en route to win. He has been inside the top 10 of the leaderboard in 10 of the last 13 major championship rounds. The 2022 Masters champion seeks his second major title; the last player to win a major in consecutive years was Collin Morikawa at the 2020 PGA Championship and 2021 Open Championship.
Corey Conners posts a 135 which marks a career-low 36-hole total in a major. He’s making his 18th start in a major and his fifth at the PGA Championship. All three of his top-10s in majors have come at the Masters Tournament. He has only two career PGA TOUR wins (2019 Valero Texas Open, 2023 Valero Texas Open).
Viktor Hovland has his fourth 36-hole lead/co-lead on TOUR. He is making his 14th major championship start and fourth at the PGA Championship. Viktor has two career top-10s in majors and both have come in his last two majors: T7/2023 Masters Tournament, T4/The Open Championship. He is a three-time PGA TOUR winner; most recently the 2021 World Wide Technology Championship.

Two-time PGA Championship winner Rory McIlroy (T10) opens with 71-69 and is five shots off the lead.

Australia’s Min Woo Lee (T10), who finished T6 at the 2023 PLAYERS Championship, his first career top-10 on the TOUR, is making his eighth start of the season and second at the PGA Championship.
