He is now the sixth player with five major wins, joining Seve Ballesteros, James Braid, Byron Nelson, J.H. Taylor and Peter Thomson.

Remaining Field

Scottie Scheffler finished 7-under (T2) and had entered the final round four shots off lead, but he tied his career-low score in a major (65) to climb the leaderboard. He returns to World No. 1 for the first time since entering the 2023 Masters Tournament and it’s his third top-10 in four PGA Championship starts.

Viktor Hovland finishes top 10 for third straight major; and the only player in field to post four rounds at even-par or better. He tied second with Scheffler posting a final round of 68 which included a double bogey on the 16th, leaving him at 7-under for the tournament. He has now held a lead/co-lead in the last three majors.

2012 and 2014 PGA Championship winner Rory McIlroy (T7) records eighth top-10 in his 15th PGA Championship start; marks fifth top-10 in last six majors.

PGA professional Michael Block (T15) records best finish by PGA professional since 1986; he also records hole-in-one with a 7-iron at the par-3 15th from 151 yards. It marks the 29th ace at the PGA Championship (since 1983). With Block finishing in the top 15, he earns a spot in the 2024 PGA Championship.

In his seventh attempt to complete the Career Grand Slam, Jordan Spieth finishes T29.
